Rough Itinerary: Sat 7am Depart Rolling Meadows with a pickup at 8am in Hodgkins.  Kick back and enjoy Historic BEAR / NFL DVD’s.  Meal Stop around 11am.  We will arrive at the Hotel by 2:30.  The Courtyard Hotel is centrally located in Downtown Detroit along the People Mover Route and walking distance to so many Eating, Drinking, & Shopping Establishments. We will get checked in then head to nearby Hockeytown Cafe for our Welcome to the “D” in 2023 Party!! 5 – 7 We will kick off this Football Weekend with Drinks, BEERs, Appetizers, Wine & Spirits!! Bear Flags flying!!  After the Party you have New Year’s Eve in the Motor City – Enjoy!!

Sun We will leave the Hotel at 8am and make the short Bus Ride to Eastern Market. Too early?  No problem – sleep in and join us at your leisure.  We might make a detour to the Marriott Renaissance across the street to get some pictures and maybe grab some autographs from the Bear’s Team staying there.  Our Staff will have Delicious Hot Food & Cold BEER waiting for you when you arrive at Eastern Market.  We will get our Game Faces on with a Pre Game / New Year’s Day Tailgate Party from 9 – Noon!!  Alot of Hair of the Dog!!  Game starts at 1pm.  Time to purchase Souvenirs, grab some Pictures, and get ready for some Football – Da Bears New Year Style!!  Eastern Market is a short shuttle ride to Ford Field. After the Game – Coolers back out to continue Tailgating and review the game. Then we have to hit a Sports Bar or 3 to catch the Afternoon game and the Night Game … Nemo’s … Old Shillelagh … Town Pump Tavern … Cutter’s Bar & Grill or maybe Delmar – there are more than enough to choose from.  New Years Day – stay out late and enjoy!!

Mon  Checkout time is 11am, but we have unfinished business.  You have the option to go on a Bus Tour and Lunch Stop before we head for home.  We will also have a BEER Cooler (Hair of the Dog) onboard with Snacks as we tool around looking at the Detroit sights.  Photo ops at the Joe Louis Fist and Spirit of Detroit Statue, as well as, the site of Tiger Stadium & Campus Martius. 2 Detroit Staples to chose from for lunch – the amazing atmosphere of the Coney Islands from Man vs Food (Lafeyette or American) right next to each other, OR Slow’s BBQ which is absolutely delicious!! Probably do Both!!  Depending on the time we may make a brief stop at Greektown – gambling – more Eating & Drinking?  Now it’s time to head home.  Target to leave is 2pm.  Let the sleeping begin.  Meal stop around 5.  We will arrive in the Chicago Area around 8:30pm.  A memorable Bear’s New Years Football Holiday in the Books!!
